IIBEC Southern Ontario Chapter’s Spring Roofing Seminars – were presented in person by Ted Katsoris, B. Tech., Arch Sc. FCSC, CCCA, BSS / Morrison Hershfield, Michael Hensen, P. Eng., RRC / Rimkus, and Jean-Guy Levaque, F-IIBEC, RRC, RRO, Arch. Technologist / Pretium Engineering. Andy Xiao P.eng. of MTE Consultants moderated the seminars. Twenty-Eight attendees were able to learn from these industry leading professionals over an engaging afternoon at the Toronto Construction Association offices. 

The seminars included 

• Roof Maintenance: From the Design Stage to the Service Life 
• Quality Control Measures During Roofing Process 
• The Challenges With Alterations / Refurbishment of Aged Roofs

The CSC Building Expo – Constructing Healthy Buildings was held on February 28th, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The IIBEC Southern Ontario Chapter was present at the event with a Booth and hosted a social event afterwards .

The event started with a luncheon from 11am to 1pm, which included a presentation by Tye Farrow of Farrow Partners Architects where he discussed Constructing Healthy Buildings. John Mills, Ben Kraemer, and Brandon Gemme were at the IIBEC SOC table. The conference also included educational seminars by Joy Charbonneau of Gensler Architecture & Design Canada Inc., Chris Ballard of Passive House Canada, and Linda Kafka of Livable Environment Inc.

Following the conference, IIBEC SOC hosted a social event at the Pint Public House from 5pm to 8:30pm where snacks and drinks were served.
